Our District Governor

Steve has been a member of the Yarmouth, MA Rotary Club since 2008. He has served as a Director, Club President, Trustee and Vice President and President of the Yarmouth Rotary Foundation.

 

In 2010 he was named the Yarmouth Rotarian of the Year for his service to the club and the Rotary Foundation and in 2018 was given the “Spirit of Service” award for his outstanding leadership and dedication to the ideals of Rotary by the Yarmouth Rotary Club. Steve is currently a Paul Harris Fellow plus four.

 

On the District level, he has been on the District Budget Committee, Finance Committee, Nominating Committee, District Grant Committee and Youth Exchange Committee, currently Inbound Chair.

 

He and his wife Jill have been a Youth Exchange host family for the past six years. Steve served as Assistant Governor for Area 1 from 2015-2018.

 

Steve graduated from the Dept. of Army Machinist Apprentice program and Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY. He was employed by the Department of the Army at Watervliet Arsenal NY for 22 years. In 2000, he worked for the Smithsonian in Washington, DC and retired from Federal Service after 26 years. When Jill and Steve relocated to West Yarmouth, he began studies at the GIA Institute earning his Graduate Gemology Degree. He owned and operated Adrene Jewelers in South Yarmouth, recently retiring after selling the business to his son-in-law.

 

Steve has always been active in his community serving as an officer in the Federal Managers Association, as a director of the Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce, and the Yarmouth Food Pantry, treasurer of the Barnstable County League of Sportsmen, and lector in his church. He also volunteers to cook dinner for Champ House, a local facility for the homeless.

 

Steve and Jill have been married for 24 years, have 5 children, and 11 grandchildren.
